THE MARCHES SURGERY

The Marches Medical Practice has its main surgery in Leominster, with a branch surgery in Bodenham.

Appointments may be made by telephoning the main surgery (01568-614141) or the branch surgery at Bodenham (01568-797000) or in person at either surgery.

Details, including the opening times of the Bodenham Surgery and the dispensing service there, are given on the Practice’s website, click here.

COMMUNITY DEFIBRILLATORS

There are three defibrillators in the Village: one at the entrance door of the Parish Hall, one at the entrance of the GP Surgery and one at the entrance to the School.
The cases are not locked, though they do emit an alarm while open. The defibrillator equipment can easily be lifted out of the case and taken to the person in need. The defibrillator will speak out instructions and tell you where and how to place the pads onto the person’s chest.  It will talk you through what needs to happen from then on so, no training is necessary to operate it.

If you need to take the defibrillator, as soon as the emergency is over please inform the Bodenham Clerk, Chris Smith on 01568-797132.

Please let him know even if the defibrillator is not actually used. The Parish Council will clean the defibrillator, fit new pads if needed, and make sure it is ready for use again. This needs to be done as quickly as possible.

Bodenham and District Carers’ Group

The Group is open to anyone who cares for a relative or friend on an unpaid basis – even if that person doesn’t live with you or is in residential care. We meet on the third Monday of each month at 2pm at Siward James Community Centre, Bodenham HR1 3LS.
